Teku Teku Tree a real Japanese Maple tree in a container on wheels, that moved around Central Fukuoka* from April 24th till May 6th 2009. People could sit under the tree, drink a free tea, write down their eco wish clip it to one of the branches. Teku Teku Tree Volunteers handed out seeds for people to grow plants in their garden or on their balcony. The tree was pulled around by our volunteers and schoolkids singing songs. The tree took part in and promoted various eco related events like a Critical Mass,a vegetarian cooking class, street cleaning events in collaboration with Greenbird etc. Teku Teku Tree- event was a follow up on last year’s NO JUNKMAIL sticker contest. This event was financed with the profit of the sticker sales. The tree was be planted in Tokirikyu (Fukuoka)
